CPDLC
Use CPDLC to exchange data-link messages with ATC (via Hoppie).
✅ Before you start
To use CPDLC you typically need:
- a configured Hoppie logon code
- an active flight (recommended)
🛰️ Station identifiers
When you log on, you can use:
- an ATC callsign (example:
LECB_CTR) - a CPDLC ID published in ATIS (example:
CPDLC ID XXXX)
Tip:
- AeroFeed can suggest CPDLC IDs when they are published.
🔐 Logon / logoff
Logon
- Open CONSOLE → CPDLC.
- Enter TO STATION.
- Click LOGON.
When ATC accepts, you will receive a LOGON ACCEPTED message.
Logoff
Use LOGOFF to close the CPDLC session.
✉️ Common CPDLC actions
- Request PDC (pre-departure clearance)
- speed/heading/altitude requests
- route changes (DIRECT TO, deviation)
- position reports (including oceanic fixes like
59N020W)
🆘 Emergency report
The Emergency form helps you build a structured emergency packet.
It can include:
- divert airport
- fuel remaining
- souls on board
- descent/offset details
Offline station notice
If the station goes offline, AeroFeed can warn you and recommend reverting to voice.
