Getting Started
Use this guide to install AeroFeed and complete the first-time setup.
✅ Step 1 — Install AeroFeed
- Download the latest installer from GitHub Releases.
- Run AeroFeed Setup <version>.exe.
- Start AeroFeed from the Start Menu.
Tip
If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info → Run anyway (standard for many flight-sim utilities).
✅ Step 2 — Confirm the basics
When AeroFeed opens, check the system status:
- Backend: should become ONLINE after a few seconds.
- SIM: becomes CONNECTED when your simulator is running.
- PRINTER: should be READY after you select a printer.
If anything is offline, open: Troubleshooting.
✅ Step 3 — Select your printer
- Open SETTINGS.
- Go to PRINTER.
- Choose your printer from the list.
- Click SAVE.
- Run a test print.
Why this matters:
- AeroFeed prints realistic operational strips (ACARS/CPDLC, loadsheets, automation).
✅ Step 4 — Configure your accounts (optional but recommended)
Open SETTINGS → ACCOUNTS and configure what you use:
- SimBrief: enables flight import.
- Hoppie: enables TELEX/CPDLC messaging.
- IVAO VID: enables live awareness (ATC nearby, ATIS/WX requests).
- Navigraph: improves stand/gate accuracy.
✅ Step 5 — Import your first flight
- Open FLIGHT.
- Click IMPORT (SIMBRIEF).
- Review the OFP details.
- Click CONFIRM IMPORT.
After import, AeroFeed can automatically:
- print a preliminary loadsheet (depending on settings)
- enable the ACARS Console tools
- start flight automation
