Troubleshooting
This page lists common issues and what to check.
Desktop app does not start
Try this in order:
- Run AeroFeed again (sometimes Windows blocks the first run).
- Reboot Windows.
- Download the latest installer and reinstall.
Simulator disconnected
If the SIM status is disconnected:
- start the simulator
- verify SimConnect is available
- restart AeroFeed Desktop
Tip:
- make sure you started the simulator before AeroFeed, then restart AeroFeed.
Printer offline / nothing prints
- Open Settings → Printer.
- Click Refresh printers.
- Select the correct printer and Save.
- Run Test print.
If printing still fails, verify the exact Windows printer name and driver availability.
Hoppie messages not arriving
Verify:
- Hoppie logon code is configured
- a flight is imported (AeroFeed needs a callsign)
- the recipient station ID is correct
Update required / app forces update
If AeroFeed says an update is required:
- Let the installer run.
- Finish the installation.
- Reopen AeroFeed.
If the update fails, open the GitHub Releases page and download the latest installer manually.
